Guardian Pharmacy of NWFL has a unique business model that allows for local decision making and involvement in all areas, including billing and insurance resolution. At our local Crestview pharmacy (Guardian NWFL), we have a department dedicated to answering billing questions and resolving any issues that affect our customers.
Head of this department is Sue Garrett, director of finance and administration. Sue joined Guardian NWFL in 2014 and works every day to ensure her team is able to provide the best possible care to our customers. Her team’s main job is to ensure the claims generated from the prescriptions filled within our pharmacy are paid and delivered to the residents. The billing team also personally deals with formulary management and the prior authorization process to give the staff and family members in each of our communities the ability to place their focus on resident care. Amazingly, this prescription count began almost five years ago, with our pharmacy filling nearly 800 prescriptions per day to our newest record high of 2,500 prescriptions.
We are proud to have our billing department right here in Crestview so our customers can easily work with one person regarding their billing needs. As another benefit to being local, there is no 800 number and customers do not have to go through an out-of-state automated system when they have questions.
